Standard Throw vs. Short Throw
Standard Throw Shifter:
- 8:1 ratio – Same as stock Toyota shifters.

Shift Lengths:
- 1st to 2nd: ~5 ¾” front to back
- 2nd to 3rd: ~1 ½” sideways
Short Throw Shifter:

Things to Check Before Installation
- The standard throw shifter retains the factory position in the housing and requires a good base bushing for proper fitment.
- A worn or missing base bushing can cause excessive shifter movement—replace it if unsure!
